About Tula Health
"Tula" is based on a Scandanavian word that means "come together, join us".
Hi, I'm Carol Lin, a veteran news anchor and correspondent who has faced down riots, natural disasters and even the Taliban on the Afghan border. However, cancer was my most formidable enemy. I lost the battle with my husband. I won the battle with my mom. Now, I'm working with an innovative team of computer scientists at the Stanford Research Institute on a site that will harness the power inside survivor stories and bring the world's wisdom to you.
This site doesn't do that yet, (shhhh, we're working on our secret sauce) but I want to give you something that really helped me. Each feature represents someone who made a difference when I was juggling baby, career and cancer all at once.
The Calendar represents my friend, Adele who single-handedly made sure people knew to leave diapers and formula at the door, but please don't knock and wake the baby, or to send highlighted copies of articles or book mark chapters in a book because I didn't have the focus to read a lot, but was searching for information.
The masher represents my career as a CNN and ABC News journalist and the power of people's stories and words.
All the tools are meant to support you as your own story unfolds and as TulaHealth.com unfolds behind the scenes.
I'm here for you,
Carol Lin
